Mounts and Rings

I have a Rem. 700 with a full straight bull barrel. When I put Weaver mounts and high rings on it, the scope bell touched the barrel. I had to shim both base and rings to get the scope off the barrel. What base and rings can I use to get away from this?

Kelbly rings come in sizes up to very tall and they make davidson bases I've seen on some guns that were tall too the should mount most any scope unless you have one of those ziess 72mm objectives or something strange like that
