mounting weaver T36 to Ruger precision .223

I recently acquired a .223 RPR and already had a Weaver T36 that I would like to mount on it. I would prefer to use Burris rings with the inserts, but the set of high ones I have will not allow the front of the scope to clear the rail. Would a .5 inch riser work well or should I just purchase new rings? If I need to purchase new rings or 1 piece mount, what would you suggest? I should mention that for now my range is limited to 200 yds. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Problem solved. I found that by using Weaver's thickest inserts in bottom front and standard in back I could get the scope to clear. If anyone wants to mount a T36 on an RPR with these rings, it can be done although clearance is very tight.
