Mount/ring selection

So I’ve got a Nightforce NXS 1-8x20 30mm laying around that I’m going to throw on a 350 legend bolt gun for the time being.

I’m torn between getting standard rings/one piece mount with no offset or buying a mount with an offset.

If I were to get standard rings with an objective that small would I be running low rings?

I feel like the standard 1.5 height ar mount on a bolt action would look goofy and possibly not practical but there’s a chance I’d move the scope to an AR in the future.

Low or extra low if we are talking picatinny.

If you did move it to a gas gun, just buy a riser.

Geissele makes an nice one piece that works for both bolt and AR..
I have a couple of them..good stuff.
