mould for 16 ga - reloading info

Hi Chaps.
Can you help? I have a sxs 16 ga thinking of casting some slugs but having a hard time finding a mould.Looked at some .575 cal moulds but projectile weights in at about 700 grains compared to my 1oz (440grains). Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Frankiep

Frankie -

Howdy !

I'm a big fan of 16ga, also.

Might I suggest, you try posting your question @ castboolits ( not " castboolits.com ).

They have a shotgun reloading /casting section there ( lead loads ).

With regards,

Another good resource is www.16ga.com

I have seen a few threads over the last couple of years about bullet molds. Post something there and maybe somebody can help you.

There is a guy on YouTube that shows how to make you own slugs using a board with a hole drilled in it. He is making them for a 12 ga but all you would have to do is drill a smaller hole in the board. Look him up. I would try " slug making" or something like that to find it. He used a regular shot cup wad and Unique powder and they were pretty accurate. He is Bush Boy I think his name was.
