most popular 6mm varmint bullet?

Mine has been the Nosler 55gr Ballistic Tip out of several
14 twist 6 Dashers at 3950+ fps.

Al.

I love the Berger 80gr FB hollowpoint. It has proven to be much more accurate than the V-Max in my 8-twist 6BR rifle,Pac-Nor barrel). The 75gr and 87gr V-Max didn't shoot poorly--1/2" groups were the norm, but the 80gr Berger shot in the ones!

I've been shooting the 87gr. Vmax out of a Shilen .243AI, and a Remington factory .243 barrel. Excellent results in both. I can get good velocity and it has a decent,.400)BC. When I was verifying my come-ups, the .243AI put 3 shots into 1 1/2" at 500 yards, and I'm not a great shooter.

I've shot animals from under a pound to 70 pounds, 10 to 300+ yards, and everything has dropped in its' tracks.

thanks for the replys,
Looks like a lot of Vmax shooters here. I'll try some along with the Bergers. I am new to 6mm Varmint shooting but I have always had good performance from .224 Nosler ballistic tips.
So for the length of the leade should I go short for Berger types or longer for the Vmax. This is a 6mm Banshee,Grendel) so I have about .750" of useable ogive length. Max OAL 2.3
