more stainless media

I have switched to stainless media , is there a break in for this stuff ? i have followed what i have seen as general use . 1 gallon of water ,2 tablespoons of dish soap ,1/4 teaspoon of lemishine, 5lbs of media and 2 lbs of brass .
I really cant describe the results except it seems to be to aggressive , I kind of figure that after its been used a while it knock off the sharp edges on the media and it will not be as abrasive ?

It definitely wears over time. How does it seem too aggressive? Tumble it for shorter periods if needed. I only tumble for about an hour and use about 1/2 the soap and lemishine than recommended

When the brass is looked at very close it is scratched , kinda of like a finish you would get hitting it with 320 sandpaper when you want the finish of 1000 grit .

Yup...

I would run it for several days to remove the sharp edges.

I believe it even says to run the media just by itself for awhile to help clean it from the manufacturing process. This is all I did and I have not had any of the problems you describe.
