More Load Data for 6XC

Long time reader, first time posting. I just ordered a 6XC with 1/7 twist, it may not have been the best choice for a varmint rifle, but I like new/unique cartridges. I'm leaning on loading the 87gr V-Max. Where can I find loading data for this bullet plus other bullets? Thanks in advance.

I like my 1-7 twist 6XC but I am using 115's most of the time. I think they will hold up just fine I have shot them in a 1-8 twist..I would just recommend a 105 gr load of H4350 and work up from there. Say maybe start at 38.0 gr and work up slow to 40.0 gr and then depending on speed you want and pressure signs just keep going up till you show pressure and back off a half grain or so .. But shoot what you want.. I am just really liking the 105 to 115's performance that I don't need it to shoot flatter and I doubt the accuracy could be any better than the 105's or 115's. My 1-8 twist will give me 3,150 FPS with a 105 HVLD using RL17 and my 1-7 will give me 3,100 FPS using RL26 both 26" length barrels.

If you don't like the speed H4350 gives you with a 87 gr you could go to a faster powder..IMR 8208 ect.
maybe someone will have load data for the 87 GR.
I think you will really like the 6XC I just hope you throated it long in that 1-7 twist so you can shoot the 115's
Both of mine have been as accurate as any thing I have shot.
This is my 1-7 twist at 200 Yards. 26" #4 sporter barrel. I can shoot five and it will keep them all right there but no need to heat the barrel up like that..It will shoot that well or even better sometimes. If I do my part. I am generous with my measurements some would call that a .100 lol..not mentioning any names..

In experience with light varmint bullets in the 6xc with fast twist is that if you want them going at 3400 plus fps it's possible they will come apart. Been there done that. Also in my 1 in 10 twist 6xc I get almost 200 fps more speed. Truly the 7 and 8 twist is better suited for the 105 and heavier bullets. I have 3 of the fast twist barrels and all shoot consistent 1/4 moa or better with 105 gr bullets. I made a 10 twist rifle just for the reason of shooting light varmint bullets. It's amazing. By the way I have found that 39gr. of h4350 with a berger 105 gr vld is a magic load for the 6xc in a 8 twist barrel. Speed is just over 3000 fps. Hope this helps you, just my humble opinion.

The above post definitely coincides with my experiences with the 6xc. I have a 12 twist, and a 10 twist for varminting, and a 9 twist for competition. The 80-90 gr bullets shoot best out of my 10 twist. WD

Todate I have only ran 105VLD in my XC with great results. Loading with RL17 I ran them as high as 3325, without pressure issues. If your interest is only in that light of a bullet try going with a slower twist rate. If you don't have a barrel also you might look at a left twist.
