Montana is still a pretty good place to live. It just, like every other state, has the drug problem with under thirties' on Meth stealing to support their habit. Like Idaho, just stay out of the large cities.

There’s no state tax, lots of county’s don’t require building permits, no fees every time one makes a dump run and fuel is low. Kids get time off school to go hunting and occasionally the whole class goes fishing. Plus.. I can build a private rifle range on our own property as long as I don’t shoot across a road or near the neighbors place. And one last thing is the health care for seniors is far better than most would think.

But the weather here is horrible, really cold, the roads are sometimes bumpy and have snow on them. I would not recommend moving here.

Gianforte was elected the same Nov 2020 election I-90 was passed
