moly and barrel wear?

I have consulted with barrel makers on moly coated bullets. They advise to either use moly or bare, but not both. They are also not opposed to using Smooth Kote in the barrel.

What happens if you alternate between coated and uncoated bullets?

nothing bad to the barrel, but the accuracy won't be good until the barrel fouls in again.

with a moly bullet you will need a little more powder to keep the same velocity.

This is correct , don't use the same load in both. Much more pressure with bare bullets.
