model 70 Win DBM help

Starting on a model 70 Super Express stock. with twp piece T.G. and floor plate .Want to convert for DBM .PTG long action or CDI . anyone have experience with this work?

1. feed issues

2. are there other manufacturers

3.What type of modification work is involved ?

I bought a CDI DBM unit for my old push-feed M70. Installation of the CDI unit requires a bit of milling on the bottom of the action - wasn't difficult to do, but you really need access to a mill to get it done.

For that caliber, feeding issues aren't the concern really. As flatlander said, the action needs to be milled. Sounds like an easy swap if you have the equipment.

Thanks for input .
Smith hired has my vote of confidence.
Just like to understand as much as possible on my own .

Other issue is bolt face for .480 6.5x55 base .
M70 l.a i think is .473.
Also tryin to pick reamer to work with reading type s FL.die .
Base measurements on different prints very .
Any comments appreciated

Cdi always did the inletting and action mods for you if you bought the bottom metal from them. I'm going to assume long action. That reamer might put the bullet out far enough to not fit in the mag.
