Model 70 in 225 win

Was the 225 win built on a short action or a long action with the block in the magazine

Winchester only made the long action when the 225 came out. The magazine has a slanted partition to keep the rims from catching on the round below.

Mine measures 7 5/8" from center to center of the stock bolts. This makes it a long action I believe. Mine has to be loaded correctly or the rims will catch and make cycling a PIA. Drop away floor plate.
