Model 7 Remington vs. 700

Anyone know if the 7 has the same action screw pattern as a short 700 ? Can you use 700 bottom metal for a Model 7?

Model 7 is a shorter action. No real difference except that the 700 has many more aftermarket accessories. You will need stock and bottom metal for a model 7. Any smith that works on 700's can work on a seven. They are great actions for youth guns or lightweight mountain rifles. Just not as common ad the 700.
