Model 7 300AAC rebarreling query

Peeps,
Looking to purchase a cheap Model 7 in 300AAC. Research suggests the ejector is placed differently in these bolts. Does the ejector placement, or anything else prevent this action being used for a 17Rem and functioning (extract/eject) correctly? Looking to build a lightweight 17cal for varminting with 17Rem the preferred chambering, or 17Fireball if necessary due to the action.
Thanks...

The bolt face on the original Micro 7, AAC stamped actions is a 221 Fireball bolt face.

Should be what you want

I'm running two of this actions, one with a wildcat based off of a .17 Remington and it works just fine. I also built a 6x204 on one with no problems.

You dont need the Fireball bolt for a 17 Remington, no reason a regular 223 boltface won't run just fine as a repeater.
The F.B bolt is for the 1.4 cases.
The 17 rem is nothing more than a 223 necked down to 17 cal.
If you dont care about a F.B. case being a repeater then any 223 bolt will work as a single shot.
You can always get a sako style extractor installed in a Rem 223 bolt also or a PTG bolt.
