Model 54 parts compatability with Model 70

will a model 70 pre 64 bolt shroud or firing pin assy fit a Model 54 rifle

The firing pins are different and may interfere with the inside of the bolt body. I THINK The bolt sleeves will screw in to the bolt but am not 100% sure, however the safety will NOT work with the 54 striker. Also the 54 trigger is way different than the 70 and may not work with the 70 parts.

The receivers are virtually the same and bolts will interchange, but the triggers must be changed. In addition, on the 54 the trigger was the bolt stop, so if you are swapping the bolts, you'll also need to add some means of a bolt stop.
