I have had several in .308. Still have one. Your groups with factory are about normal. Some were better, some worse. I was able to reduce the groups for the one I still have by hand loading for it using 4895 and 150s.

The extractors used to be hard to find, however, in the article above they seem to be available again.

The 88 and 100 use a stock that is shaped (no comb) for using iron sights. In my opinion they were not designed to be a long range rifle. They really come into there own when used to stalk deer in woods, or on deer drives where a light weight repeater is an advantage. I love carrying mine yet when I get the chance.

I have mine set up with a small 1-4 power scope, set in low rings as my eyes have a hard time with iron sights. I keep the scope set on 1 power and can keep both eyes open to follow a running deer through the woods.

Good luck with yours.

Jim

Mine is about the same. Haven't reloaded for it but seems 2-3" groups is normal. I have a 308 and 284. The 308 shot much better years ago but today it's about the same. Not sure what happened.
