I have found it much more useful when shooting at paper bullseye targets to know the number of clicks of my sights it takes to move bullet impact one scoring ring.

In Highpower rifle Across the course shooting with 1/4 moa sights, these work out real close:

Sitting and offhand is 6 clicks per scoring ring.
4 clicks per ring for rapid prone.
2 clicks per ring inside the 8 ring for slow prone - 5-6-7 ring are four click rings.

No matter what the distance, full course or reduced course on the proper reduced targets.

As I start to dabble in bullseye pistol I anticipate using the same plan for RF and TF target at 25 and the 50yd SF target or Reduced 25 yard SF target.
