MOA Base

What is the typical moa base you would want for a PRS/NRL disciple .22rf rifle? I'm not set on which scope will be on this rifle, but it definitely will be mil/mil and middle of the road to upper quality.

I've got 30 MOA bases on my V-22 rifles, and that works fine - no problem getting a 25 or 50yd zero, and plenty enough elevation with Athlon Cronus scopes to get out to 300yds.

Depends on the scope but anywhere from 20-40moa will work for most ranges shot in those matches. I run a 40 MOA on my rifle and have used multiple scopes from a Vortex Strike Eagle to a Razor II and no issues getting a 50 yard zero.

I have a 40 moa base on mine. 25 yard zero I still have 20mils of up adjustment. The scope I'm using has 24 mils of total adjustment so I'm at the upper end. My hold at 300 yds is 13 mils from my 25 yard zero. Haven't pushed it past 300 but I'm confident I can dial to 350 minimum. Using standard velocity ammo around 1080 fps. My dial out to 100 yards is 2.1 mils for reference

You should be able to make 350. 400 is about 21 mils so you can dial 20 and hold the last mil.

Thanks guys. I believe I'll go with the 40. The Strike Eagle is on my list. My buddy has one and I like it. It beats the crap out of my PST Gen1.
