Mixed brass?

Going doggin for the first time this year and don't want to burn all my Lapua
on give me's.
I have a bunch of various headstamp 7-08 and 308 all necked down and thick
ones turned to go in my .243.
Rifle is quality built and goes under 1/2' easy with my chosen load.
41.0 Varget and 65gr BT's and BR2. Nice light load @ 3550.

What results have you doggers got with mixed capacities?
I'll use my good stuff for the long ones but the 300 on in I want to use
this cobbled up stuff.
How much does your accuracy degrade - velocity +/-?
I will test anyway but would like to here others results.
Thanks

The best advice I could give is to watch your presure. If your shootin close to max in one brand of brass it might be too much for a different one on a hot day. That would be the diff. in your velocity to. I dont think accuracy will hurt you too bad for close range shoots.

No psi concerns - real mild but shoots in 3 rifles and all the dif cases
but have not tried a mixed batch yet.

My advice is don't shoot the mixed cases. Separate your loads by headstamp. Shoot some three shot groups with the scope zeroed with your Lapua load. Compare the poi with the various different cases. If the poi is close you are good to go. Shooting PDs with loads that have divergent poi's can be very frustrating.,Don't ask how I know this.) This time of year a lot of your targets are likely to be pups. Even at 300 yds. a PD pup isn't a very large target. If the poi's are not close you have a problem. You can either shoot them up and live with the results or try to re-zero your scope for the different poi's. Either way is a real pita. Good shooting. Vic

I would shot a whole different gun at insode 300. That's easy pickens for s 223 or 204. And save your barrel on your good gun.
