Miroku built 1885 Winchester Low-Wall

Tell me about your .22 cal 1885 Winchester by Miroku. How does it shoot? Have you tried different brands of ammo? What was tour best 50 yard group? What sights do you have mounted?

I do not shoot mine a bunch, I have other rifles for target shooting. The Low wall is for fun shooting

I've posted targets shot with my Miroku built 1885 in the past. I now own 3; 2 by WRA and one by BACO. I prefer the WRA version because of its appearance (crescent butt, 1/2 oct 1/2 rnd barrel) and extended upper tang. One of those two has a Malcolm scope mounted on it.
The target shown was my first day of shooting with the BACO. That rifle has a full octagon barrel, beautiful semi-gloss furniture, and wears a 3x9 Leupold scope. I wasn't picky about the ammunition and just arbitrarily grabbed a box of TAC-22.
I don't get to shoot very often with the range 50 minutes away and at 81 years of age I don't like driving distances.
So this is how it shoots at a relatively short distance. It was shot with sand bags supporting the forearm. I'm really wanting to try 100 yards,

I have the same rifle but, in17HMR. I haven't shot groups like the ones above. I took it to the gunsmith when I couldn't get the screw at the back of trigger to cooperate. He pulled the stock got the trigger adjusted to about 2 pounds. Replaced the stock and the trigger was much harder. When tightening the stock bolt the trigger adjustment changed. Backed off the stock bolt and the trigger has been fine since. Shot quite a few gophers in MT in late April, but need to get to the range. Changing ammo brands can make quite a difference in group size. The rifle is very nicely done, fit and finish are great for factory rifle.
