2020 Minnesota Long Range Regional (1000 yard) Rifle Match Gopher Rifle and Revolver Club - NRA Registered Match
Location: Gopher Rifle and Revolver Club (GRRC) near Harris, MN. Directions: I‐35, exit at #152 (Harris), turn left (west) at the top of the ramp, proceed approx. ¼ mile to Falcon Avenue, turn right (north). IMPORTANT: please drive slowly to keep the dust down for people living along the road!!! Proceed 1.2 miles until the road curves left, the GRRC entrance is 100 yards after the bend.
Date/Time: Regional Match Saturday and Sunday August 1-2, 2020 at 0900.
Registration: Walk-on entries will be accepted between 0730 and 0830. Entries limited to 60 competitors. All competitors must check in by 0830. Please be on time!!!
Rules: Current NRA High Power Rifle Rules will govern
Rifle: Rule 3.2
Target: NRA Official Targets will be used (Section 4, NRA Rules).
Eligibility: Open to all competitors, membership in the NRA is NOT required.
Classification: The NRA classification system will be used in all matches. NRA classification cards may be checked by the Statistical Officer. Unclassified competitors will compete in the Master Class. Rule 19.6 - Assigned Classification, or 19.2 - Temporary Classification, may be used in making entry in an NRA Regional tournament.. If four or fewer in a class they will be combined with the next higher class except masters will not combined with high masters.
Need to know: An effort will be made to squad high masters on the same relay. A fee of $2.00 per challenge will be collected. Results will be posted to the MRRA website [www.mrra.org]; bring SASE if you want a copy mailed to you. Coaching is allowed in individual matches only while sighters are being fired. Competitors will score and pull targets for each other. There will be an aggregate Service Rifle category if there are at least 5 competitors.
Teams will consist of 2 firing members, a captain and/or coach if desired, and will represent either a club, Rule 2.11, a law enforcement agency, Rule 2.14, a Regular Service Unit, or a Reserve unit (including National Guard) Rule 2.13. The team captain and/or coach may be firing members of the team. Team match will not be fired if less than three teams register.
In the event there are not at least two F-Open and/or F-TR teams, all F-Class teams will fire as F-Open.
Course of fire: Individual matches are fired prone slow fire from 1000 yards with unlimited* sighters & 20 shots for record in a time limit of 30 minutes. Team match consists of two person teams and are fired prone slow fire from 1000 yards with two (2) sighters & 20 shots for record by each team member in a block time limit of 63 minutes.

Match 1: Any** Rifle/Any Sight F-Class Open F-Class F-TR
Match 2: Any** Rifle/Any Sight F-Class Open F-Class F-TR

Match 7: Two day total of matches 1-6
* GRRC Range Safety Rules stipulate that competitors must place a shot on their target within the first six (6) shots. Competitors who
fail to do so will be disqualified. Ask for help, if needed. ** Palm rests and “Scheutzen” style buttplates are not permitted.
*** As much as possible, like competitors will fire on the same relay (e.g. F-Open on relay 1, “Sling” & F-TR on relay 2)
Entry Fees: Two day Regional fee is $60.00; One day Regional fee is $30.
Please note: $9.00 of the Regional entry fee goes to the NRA. Entry fees include dinner and beverage on Saturday evening.
