Mini-14 load

With political climate being what it is here in NY state my son and I have bought a couple mini-14's. I have always weighed my charges in the past but the mini-14's are so much fun to shoot we can go through alot of ammo. I would like to develop a load using a ball or spherical powder so I can just drop by volume. Any suggestions for powders and bullets for a 9 twist would be greatly appreciated.

Marty, Ramshot X-Terminator is still more available than some of the other more popular powders. 55 grn head, 24.5 grns of Ramshot X should clock at close to 3150 out of a 20' barrel.
This is pretty close to Ball powder and will meter extreamly well.

http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/ $118.00 for a 8LB jug

Win 748 and Speer 52's, or Hornady 60 v-max are both hammers in my 1:9 Bushy. 748 Meters great, I use the CCI mil spec primers but Win SR's also work great.
