Can 6½remington sr primers be used for my ruger mini 223. I used 22.8 gr. Of acc. 2015 with 55 gr hornady FMJ-BT and noticed some dimples, and one pin hole in my primers. I am new to reloading and appreciate any insight

Excellent information my starting load was 21.5 gr which wouldn't eject correctly. A fellow loader told me my mini was rated for 556 and just needed a heavier charge. I have some win srp according to the link jim shared they are .001 thicker, but i think ill just try and find some bench rest primers that are about .005 thickerBeen loading 25gr of Benchmark behind a 55gr JHP , using a Win SRP with no adverse affects in any area . And the target thinks it's a pretty good load , too . Avg. a inch and a half group at 100 yards .
Just use SR Mag (if you can find them) and don't worry. I switched to mag when the Big O was in office and never went back.I have some win srp according to the link jim shared they are .001 thicker, but i think ill just try and find some bench rest primers that are about .005 thicker
