milling machine ?

anyone have any experience or comments on a Tom Senior (major) milling machine!

A good one will make a nice mill, but limited on horizontal travel. I have never used the horizontal attachment on either of my mills and that is the primary function of the Tom Senior. Unless it is a very inexpensive tool, I would look around for a good vertical mill and if needed a horizontal attachment is available for them.

thanks for the info! heres the actual add
price is 750$

Can't go wrong with a Bridgeport column and knee mill. I think they have proven themselves over the years and you can get replacement parts for them all day long and any machine repair shop will know how to fix them if you need to go that route. Will probably cost you more than $750.
