Has anyone used this “IMR 8208” military surplus powder before? If yes, for what cartridges, what bullet weights, what powder charges?
Thanks in advance

I've had two different 'batches' of what is sold as 8208. It's important to keep in mind that there have been several more sources than the two that I have/had. In fact some of that powder came from the other side of the Atlantic. I bought 24 pounds of a lot back in the early 80's that was slightly faster than most lots of H322 available then and very clean burning. I have about 20 pounds left of 88 pounds of another lot from a completely different source, that is slightly slower than most 322 and has a lot of graphite in it and is dirty. They both shot great if loaded correctly. Just because it says 8208, doesn't mean you would be safe to use loading data from the canister grade 8208 that has been available over the counter. Use the normal good reloading safety practices and you'll be good to go.
