It seems like shortly after Olin took over Lake City the once fired brass disappeared! Does anyone know the economics of this decision?

LRC recently processed the 37,180 pounds of brass shells collected during the fourth quarter of FY20, according to EMD representative John Allen. Before they’re sold, the casings are sent through specialized “popper and deformer” equipment, aptly named for their functions of super-heating the brass to ensure no explosive content remains and then mangling what’s left so it cannot be returned to live ammunition.

How shocking . To think they ( Lib-wart , anti-gun Dems ) would rather scrap it all , than let any of it get into the hands of those radical , Right-wing recreational shooters . They might plan another "armed insurrection" to take back their corrupt government . ( Sarcasm here )

No sarcasm..

Of course the outgassing of the “popper” ovens have no detrimental effect to the environment in this “greenie” plan.
