Thanks everyone for coming today. It was hot and muggy but everyone seemed to have a good time. We had 53 guns on the line today that is the most firearms we have had at a match since the early 2000's.
Thanks to the Boy Scouts for serving food for us today. You did a great job and I heard alot of good feedback from it. Remember guys the Boy Scouts will be with us for all the matches the rest of the year. Please support them in their efforts to get to the Jamboree next year.
Thanks to all that help with the match from set up to scoring, entering scores, calling the line, running targets to the very nice lady up in CT. that puts our results on the website. Without help it would be impossible to run the match.

Those of you who take pictures. We lost all of our pictures that were on the website due to some system upgrades if you have any pictures that you would like us to possibly put on that link please send them to me and we will take a look at them. Thanks

Jesse thanks again for hard work and dedication. It's a tough range(no wind flags) , but a friendly group of shooters. I have been shooting matches there for quite a few years. The evolution of shooters is amazing to an older shooter like myself. This shoot was once dominated my basically benchrest shooter looking for a new challenge or dedicated groundhog shooters enjoying a wealth of target and no chiggers and ticks. As I looked at the shooters on Saturaday I saw a few of the old original style crowd. Super accurate bench guns with lots of years and expertise is tuning and loading. This group once dominated the match with a few others showing up with factory guns to round out the crowd. Now the bench rest group is getting pretty small, there is still a sprinkling of convemtial heavy barrel varmint rifles, but the big group is a younger crowd shooting chassis or tactical style rifles. They are the big group. Well, I am glad to see you guys joining and enjoying our sport. Get your friends involved and help continue to grow the sport. I FOR ONE

Jeff, I'd like to think the factory class is a stepping stone for our future benchresters. I started out shooting chucks and gallon milk jugs out to 650 yards at the farm with a 25/06 and a 220 swift. There evolved into the factory class then onto the customs as I could afford it. Hopefully the opportunity is there for all upcoming shooters.
