Midway clearance on 224 Speer bullets

Midway is clearancing out the 224 bullets. The 52gr HP is $0.09?ea. The 52gr HPBT is $0.14/ea. There are others for sale also. But 9 cents each for a good bullet is hard to pass up when FMJ are 12 cents or more each.

I got 2K of the hp and 1K of the hpbt. I have never shot either of these 2 before but I have 4 223 rifles to try them in.

I don't have a use for these .22 caliber bullets but the links allowed me to run a check on the other bullets which are reduced or on sale.

Yes, it took more than just a few minutes to sort these all out but it was worth it in the end. Several of the bullets I thought were too expensive to test became much more reasonable and let me save quite a bit dollar-wise.

Anyone know if these shoot worth a darn in an 8 twist?

Yes they do shoot great in 1-8 twist. I run them in an AR with H335 in a .223 Wylde chamber. Have shot them to 300 yds and was very impressed with them. That’s what I use on coyotes now or the Grendel. In the Grendel I use Sierra 85 gr HP, they look just like the Speer 52 HP and work great also. Try them, you will be impressed with the accuracy and after affects.
