MidSouth Marksmen will host a 3 x 600 match at AEDC on Sunday the 30th of September. This will be our final match at AEDC for the year and great practice for the upcoming MR state championship. Held next month at the Memphis sport shooting Association. (27/28 Oct) Hope to see everyone there!

Final Call

We are less than 24 hours out for tomorrows 3 x 600 at AEDC. Weather forecast looks good. Hope to see everybody there.

We should have a full squad of sling shooters tomorrow...

Just mounted a 6" sight extention and re-leveled by sights. Going to need a hand (spot) getting on but I am really looking forward to tomorrow.

I'm also trying a new .5 front lens cell. Picked up two, one for my 4-6 and one for my 5-7 iris, but I still need a short stem for the 5-7 sight so it's going to have to wait until next year.

Yup. If you have it handy throw it in the bag. I'll bring some dough. Maybe I'll put the 5-7 in the bag and see if it works better for me at 600, assuming we can find and install the short stem.

was a longer day than usual. Guard got new target frames in that we had to remove and re-install and a new e-target was seeing all the shots from the same brand. (which was pissing Jim off like nothing I have ever seen) This forced slinging shooters to run 6 relays. It was also about 10° hotter than the weatherman called for, but we still finished up by 3pm. T-Rex (Tim) may have withered down to an old, mean raisin....

Shooters

Turned out to be a great day for our last approved match at AEDC. Sky was clear and bright with mild to light winds, temps we a bit warmer that predicted and caught a number of people by surprise. Attached please find the results and congrats to this months winners! We will be having our final match of the year next saturday at Hery Co gun club. As this will be a club match, its a great time to getout and test or finalize your gear for the state championship. Thanks for the concern, Jeff. It was pretty tough for me to shoot the one-day match. Electric power was out for AEDC Sunday...consequently the chair-lift to carry competitors up the back of the 600-yard berm to the firing point was not working !! Liked to have killed me making multiple trips to the top.
