Middle Tennessee sporting association

I'm slow to post this. About three weeks ago my family and I shot a ARA match at MTSA. Its one of the nicest ranges we have shot at. Very well run and the match director (Les Roberts) and scoring crew did a fine job. Good food also. It was nice shooting with a lot of good friends. If you haven't shot this range you are missing out.

Thank you for the kind words Todd! I usually don't do forums but it looks like I am going to start so people will know more about MTSA. We are in Macon county, Tn, Northeast of Nashville, right on the Ky line. We have 2 matches left this year. September 17th is the next one and the last one will be October 29th. The one in October will be our club tournament and I will be starting a list for the first 60 shooters. We can have that many and still only have 2 relays, so it won't be to long of a day even shooting 6 cards. In October we will charge an extra $10 on top of the $5 per card, because we will be serving lunch, just like the last one you came to Todd. I believe that you can say how good the food was last time. The one in September will just be a normal club match and is only 5 cards and we will probably only have enough shooters to have one relay. If you are interested in coming to either the match or the tournament please feel free to contact me with any questions. My name is Les Roberts and you can email me at harporob70@yahoo.com. Again, thank you Todd for coming out and shooting with us and letting people know about the ARA at MTSA.

I was there. It’s probably the nicest facility I’ve been to. Kettlefoot has more benches, but the actual benches at MTSA are the nicest I’ve shot from. The people are top notch too.

I will try to make plans to attend the October shoot, already have plans for the September shoot weekend.

Thanks for all the kind words regarding Les Roberts, his crew and the MTSA facility. When we built this range four years ago, we had hoped to construct the best rifle range in the southeast. There are other places that have longer distances and some other great components, but I believe that we have the best for where we are and what we do. We host several rimfire matches, IDPA, Steel Challenge, USPSA, ATA trap and UBR matches. You do not need to be a member to participate, although we have plenty of room for new members. Hey Todd, I am getting the list together for the Oct. 29th Tournament. I am going to try to get 60 shooters together for this one. I hope to see you and whoever would like to come to shoot at one of the nicest ranges around. I would really like to end the year on a high note and having 2 full relays would sure make it a great year! I do want to thank you and everyone that has come out to support us this year. It has been an incredible year for us, especially since it was our first year. I am extremely proud of the crew of guys I have helping and the backing and support I have gotten from MTSA and the officers to make it such a great season! Hope to see you there and please help me to get out the word about the club so we can make next season even better! Thank you!!!
