Middle Tennessee Rimfire Shooters .22 LR match schedule

Curious as to what target and distance you are shooting at your match?
That will be finalized by the match director, but it's not true benchrest format, but rather a fun shoot at 50, 75, and 100 yards. 50 yards is generally the USBR "green" target for score. 75 and 100 yards are at reactive targets, (dum dum suckers, and/or flat suckers, golf balls, etc.) And there is a bonus round variation of the Know Your Limits target for score. Pretty much shoot what ya got, but no one piece rests are permitted.

There has been, on occasion, a cold bore shot contest at a known distance before also, depending upon how many participants there are interested.

Hey guys, sorry for being late on the results. This has to be, hands down, THE worst conditions I have personally shot in before. Steady wind, about 7-10, gusts 15-20, maybe higher, rain, and temps down into the low 40s! Geez, talk about a test of will and equipment! We did have 13 shooters, and a few new shooters in the line up and were glad to have them! Some of our regulars weren't able to make it so we hope they can get to the next matches coming up! The first round was the USBR target at 50 yards, followed by 10 dum dum suckers at 75, then 10 golf balls at 100. After those 3 rounds we had the KYL round on paper. With the wind gusting as it was, there was a real concern of even missing the first shot at 100. After all shooters had finished the results were as follows:

3rd place - Ian Smith (Custom build)
(This was his first time shooting with us)

2nd place - Randy Seals (Tikka T1X)

1st place - Steve Moffitt (CZ 457 VPT)

Thanks to everyone who came out and endured the harsh conditions! It was a match to remember without a doubt! Hope to see everyone again next match, and some new faces as well as our regulars!

Next match is scheduled for April 20th at 9:00 CST at Mtn Top Range.

I noticed a conflict on the schedule between a UBR match and this one on May 4th. Both appear to be having a match on the same day, at the same place. The 1:00 start time for the rf match is unlikely to be late enough. Just pointing it out so you all can work it out between match directors, I suppose.
Mike this 22 match is at a little range on Harrison ferry mountain on hwy 8, I don’t think they shoot Ubr there.

I do think Ubr with rimfire would be fun. Maybe at 50 and 100. Maybe something to try at mountain top.
I would really like to see more matches out there as well Troy. Their calendar is pretty full on the weekends and the schedule we have now is basically scraps left over from urban rifleman and handgun carry classes as well as Appleseed events. Would be great to see UBR and some benchrest matches out there for sure tho!

From the Middle Tennessee Rimfire Shooters FB page. Also Cody, the match director, operates their FB page and would be the source to find out about scheduling and any questions I would think.
