MIDAS IN STOCK AT BLUECOLLAR

I was just at BlueCollar Reloading in NC an hour ago
They had a PILE of Polar Biathlon and Joe said they had some 27 speed Midas ( may or may not show on the website) call them if you need some

They have had the Midas + for almost a week and they still have quite a bit left.
Usually it goes in a day.
Just shows we are getting to the point, it’s getting too expensive.
Yep
We have been very active in ARA where it is ammo ammo ammo to do well --but have recently branched out to other competitions like Long Gong and Open sight where ammo is still important but less than perfect lots and many cheaper SK types do just fine.
One local club has a Budget match where you buy the ammo from the club --it is cheapo types like CCI Std, Norma Tac etc $5 a box and we all shoot with the same ammo--it is just one class out of 5 so nobody is forced to do anything-- it is presented as a low cost option--it has been fun and sometimes a 40x will pop up and destroy everyone with a crazy high score with "junk" ammo.

Yea $26 a box I really wanted some but passed--They had tons of center fire stuff--inventory was strong and they had the extra big jugs of Varget with the extra lb or whatever it is--Primers were back to lowest $ in a long time with thick inventory. The place looked very well stocked with some specials like 10% off of Sierra etc

I think that what I’m going to do in the steel matches I’m going to buy the cheapest ammo like Cci Blazers,TAC and auto match and everyone shoot them same ammo with the cost of match it’s not as fun as it was

If you’re shooting a $4000 custom rifle with a $2500 scope and a $2000 rest I would say go for the top ammo.
If you’re like me and shoot a $600 rifle and $400 scope just go with the less expensive quality ammo.

Kind of like restricted or claimed class stock car racing … have to put folks on a level playing field as it’s just gotten so expensive if “open” racing and same with competitive shooting. Without some of this type of oversight these sports will long term fail due to prohibitive costs.

I like the ammo restrictions, at least for the average, fun guy stuff. Not everyone is an Olympian !!

One time I tried a random brick of Midas and it shot no better than my two lots of CX.
I buy all my ammo blind/random. Over the past few years I've bought several cases of Lapua for ARA UL matches. About half was Center-X and half Midas+. Overall the Midas+ has been better for me. I'll buy and use whichever I can get but I'd prefer to use M+ for ARA matches
