Late last year I put a Benchmark .223 1-8 twist on a Savage action to try at F-Class Mid-Range. I built a good shooting load with 75 gr. Amax's and H4895. Every 5, 6, and 7 shot groups at 200 yards were ragged holes. I never took it to 600 till last weekend, I went to AIM in Blakley, GA. for the monthly 600 yarder. We only got to shoot 2 relays due to bad rains that came in and lasted the rest of the day. First relay I shot a 193 5X, second relay 191 4X which was in heavy rain and fairly bad swirling winds. I did not take my plot book, but looking back I see were I would have shot higher had I trusted the ability of this 75 gr. bullet. My vertical is no more then x-ring tall, Not once did I shoot out of the 10 at 3 o'clock. I had 1- 12 o'clock 9 that was a truely a bad shot on my part, and the rest were 6 and 7 o'clock from let offs and wind direction changes. Still learing, but I can say this, this .223 is a hoot to shoot for 600 yard Mid-Range. I like it alot... ;D
