Micrometer for older Wilson trimmer?

I have an older non-stainless LE Wlson case trimmer. I'd like to add a micrometer to it but cannot see paying the prices Wilson and Sinclair want for the add-on.

With that said, has anyone purchase an after-market mic from Amazon that will bolt right on?

They may be using top quality micrometer heads which will run the cost up. Any machine shop should be able to make a piece for you for whichever micrometer head you want

Jim's hillbilly engineering solution

You trim a case and decide you need it .005 shorter

take your calipers, measure between the foot and the inside edge of the cutter bearing as shown in the pic, then adjust the adjust foot in .005 using the caliper for reference. If you want to set up for a cartridge the first time hold the cutter in all the way and measure between the foot and the leading edge of the cutter. That is easier with two people but a clamp can be used. If you want to switch between various cartridges simply write down the measurement between the foot and the cutter bearing and you can always go back to each cartridges setting.Or do as I do and when you start with a new caliber buy another Wilson, set it up once, lock the setting, and that way the cases you trim tonight will be the same as those you trimmed last year.
