I finally went ahead and made a buttstock for a Viper Drop Port. I robbed the forend off my 40x. The bbl is a 30BR. I need some tall double screw rings and some minor detailing and I will be ready to shoot it. If all goes well I will shoot it in next months Riverbend GA club score match.

I also need to make a BR legal rear glide rail but I am going to shoot it as is for a bit. The flat toe line on the bottom of the stock is something I want to experiment with.

I also need to rebate the rims on about 100 cases as this is a PPC action.

How 'bout $$$ a bolt, with the bolt face you need ?

Too expensive ?

My plan is to chamber a 6Beggs bbl and use this one rifle in both group and score matches. I also have a 30PPC bbl I could put on this rifle.

With the drop ports you do have this issue of 2 different bolt faces. The non-drop ports are all BR bolt face that also works with the smaller 220 Russian case head.
