It is in its finished form. No slots or holes. It is to direct what muzzle energy I can away from the shooter while protecting the suppressor theads. Maybe my term of "linear compensator" was used incorrectly?Since the pressure, which is pretty low at the muzzle, is not contained, I doubt you will have any problems. Assuming there will be slots cut in the piece, It’s basically an open vent.
I have shot another one just like it on a 204 last summer and it was fine and worked well for shooting from the truck. I could tell the difference when I shot without it in place.Only 1 way to find out if it works is to smoke test it!
Good point. At one time I had 6" of a bloop tube.Tubb sold bloop tubes for the T2K rifles that were stainless with a .060" wall thickness. You should be fine.
