Message to Members -- Crackdown on Insulting and Disparaging Posts

Hey... I understand deleting controversial threads, but I posted about Romney being a ANTI GUN Republican and it gets deleted before there is one single reply?

I was talking about GUNS... and no one even replied to my post and it certainly wasn't insulting or offensive. There is still a post talking about ILLEGAL ALIENS sitting on the board, and it has nothing to with guns.

What gives?

Both threads are Now deleted. What gives is that this is not a political discussion forum. There are many other locations for that.

Once you even get into the matters of "X candidate is good, Y candidate is bad" or "immigrants are cheaters" (the other thread) things go downhill immediately.

Members of this forum have OVERwhelming asked me to take a hard line on this.

Yes I OVERwhelmingly agree also, if those type of threads weren't on here, my blood-pressure would stay stable and I wouldn't feel OVERwhelmed to comment, Thanks Paul you have without knowing it probably extended my life by 10 years at least I have never commented on a political forum in my life and wouldn't dare even join one why I comment on political threads on here is beyond me :-[

Thanks Paul. I don't visit any other site but this one so I don't know how bad it is over there except for the comments made by others here. Some of the top shooters, smiths, manufacturers and experience galore are on this site and it would be a huge loss to run them off. I too can get ruffled at times from comments and find myself hitting the reply button when I shouldn't. I have censored myself several times over the past few weeks.

Wayne, don't sweat it buddy. We know where your heart is and we could use a bunch more just like you.
