Meopta optika 5 and 6

Does anyone own a meopta optika 5 or 6? I would prefer the lower magnification models. Has anyone compared them side by side to other scopes in the price range? How has tracking and reliability been?

I have two optika6's 3-18 FFP, great quality, for the money the clarity is hard to beat, tracking is right on, you definitely won't be disappointed, Meopta has been making glass for the high end euro scope manufacturers for a long time, another that you might what to consider is Tract Optics, they manufacturer there own and sell direct to you, you save $,
Scott glass HT ED lens, simply superb

I think I have two Optika 6s. Great quality for the price And agree with Marks comments above, From what I can recall, they Seem to be heavier than other similar specd scopes.

I have the 4.5x27 and I like it. Tracking on my scope is spot on. However, at higher magnifications, the eye relief gets a little tight. But, it's still very usable. Clarity is also pretty good. Great scope for the money spent.

I have an Optika 5 2x10 with the bdc reticle. It is on a 22 rimfire and I have shot it out to 200 yards with ease. A little big and heavy, but I love the solid clicks and the clarity on mine is like looking through air. I also have a tract 2x10 with bdc that is equal in clarity and positive clicks. But the reticle is a little fine too fine for poor light conditions.

The Meopta was a steal when I got it for $329.

I used an Optika 5 for about a year.
Optics and tracking were fine. As mentioned, they are a bit heavier than other roughly equivalent scopes.

The big drawback for me was the elevation and windage indicators are about 1/2 inch from the numbers on the dials/turrets. Makes it a tougher to read what the elevation/windage is actually set at. Much more so from a prone position.

I have two, one 5 and one a 6. They are hard to beat from the money. The glass is as clear as my Leupold 3i and US Optics Ts. But not close to my Zeiss Victory T but it cost double the Meopta. Will buy again.

I have a Optika6 3-18x50 illuminated SFP. I bought it and a Leupold VX6 with the same configuration at the same time. I gave my then 16YO son the choice of which on he wanted on his hunting rifle. He chose the Meopta. Both have had several hundred rounds under them, and both have performed flawlessly. The glass on the Meopta is as good as the Leupy in transmission and clarity. The only VERY slight nit-pick vs the Leupold is there is that it loses a tiny bit of clarity around the edge...nothing that interferes with the sight pic and you have to have them side by side for it to be noticeable. The Meopta weighs 28oz vs 22oz for the Leupold.

I just switched my Optika6 4.5-27*50 sfp to Sightron SIII 10-50*60. Meopta was nice, cost only 629€...but local gun shop had used Ssightron I did only have to pay 50€ extra and that Meopta. Not a bad deal in my eyes ;)
