Memorial Day

I try to think about our soldiers who fought and died for our country from the Revolutionary war all the way to today. Thank them in your prayers for the country they gave us and the freedom they unselfishly gave to the whole world.

May God bless all who have served this great nation! My Grandfather, US Navy, WWll. My Brother US Army, Gulf War.

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

A special tribute to my Grandfather(WW1), my Dad, and 2 Uncles(WW2), Brother and Brother in Law(Vietnam), Son(Middle East, and Grandson(Marines).

Another tribute to Major James Blair White(middle school classmate) and brother of Ed White(deceased astronaut) who lost his life in his F105 over Laos in 1968.

Last, but certainly not least, Lt. Michael Kavanaugh(US Navy) the best stock painter ever and like a Son to me. A soon to be Lt. Commander.

Please don't forget our guys and ladies.
