Medium range custom varmint rifle

I kinda started this on the .22 and smaller section but I wanted to see what you guys have built for the short to medium range rifles. I kinda think a stiller .223 build is in my near future and I know there are a TON of advocates for other cartridges. I don't mean to start a debate, I just wanna see some guns and/or groups. Just show us what you use.

I built a 20 practical on a Tikka M55 action for the same purpose. Trueflight 1:12 stainless barrel, prepped rem 223 brass, 39grSBK's, CCI 450's and reloader 10x. 3750fps from a 25"barrel, shoots better than I can out to 300m. Anything longer I dont consider it useful, but then I usually make myself get closer.

I am looking to build a custom action 223AI with a 20 tac also. Look at the 20 cals on 223's.

Everyone has a favorite and they'll tell you it's the best one. But there's a whole world of choices that are all good. It's more about what you feel like shooting at a particular time rather than one being "best." I'd be real happy with a Stiller .223. If you're set on using that case, might as well go for another 150-200fps and make it a 223AI. But the 6BR is awfully good and really hard to beat. That's just a couple, there're lots of other good ones.

i and a number of my pd shooting friends have settled on the 221FB using the 50sbk or 40sbk out to 275-300yds

the 223 is a great item , uses 5+gr more powder and gives you a 100 yds

for short to med range, consider the noise factor and 17-18gr powder is a real desirable accurate combo

we have settled on the 22-250 or 6.5x284 for longer shots,
they give lots more than the 223 in range and wind on longer shots
