media stuck in case

i am use to tumbling bigger brass, but this year I have been doing just 243 & 6mm CR, and i have been getting almost every case stuffed full of media now. i put in new Lyman corn cob with no additive any advice?
thanks

Yep
Corn cobb media stays in those small neck cases. Use a media separator or do like i do and just dump the media out of the case when you pick it.out of the tumbler. A little tap on the side of the tumbler will dislodge any stuck.
Then as i brush necks, chamfer and debur and clean primer pockets i use a wilson depriming pin to clean out any stuck in the flash hole. I deprime before tumbling

I use a rattle bucket for my case cleaning needs. With the tumbler running, I hold the case against the stud at the top of the bowl to shake out the media. Use my case chamfering tool to remove media from the primer pocket and flash hole.

From NorCalMikie:
"AND, every time you pick up that case, with the media stuck in it or not, is just another chance to inspect it before it gets loaded. Better to find a problem NOW then when it hits the chamber.;)"

Could not agree more. Every handling gives you a chance to spot anything wrong.

^^^^^^this
except I'll run brass through a decaping die to clear flash holes.
But only if I decap before cleaning.
Generally I dont decap until after cleaning.

I use pet store lizard litter in a Lyman turbo tumbler and have no problem with media stuck in the cases when using a media separator. But occasionally may have a piece stuck in the flash hole.

I bought a cheap clone of the Lyman sonic cleaner below that cleans the cases very well and I use it the most. It does not have the bling or shine of my STM wet tumbler but there is no media to mess with. All I use with the sonic cleaner is hot water, dishwashing liquid and lemiShine.

Lizzard pooo!!!!

Myself with walnut, i use a small paint brush. The kind with the different colored plastic handle you see kindergarden kids painting with.
Run it into the bottom, twist casing as you pull out to get the sides.
For really crammed in there media, use the handle end. Works well.

The brass will get full of media just tap it out... I just did 500 clean only .223 LC and bagged it , it got old lol.... I leave the primers in so crap stays out of the flash holes... Always inspect everything anyway before loading , I just keep a straighten paper clip handy for clearing flash holes on the second tumble to remove the lube.....

PS.. if you add a liquid to your media let it run for awhile before adding your brass to keep it from clumping inside....

I use this media separator from Dillon. About 10-20 turns of the handle and all the media is out. (Except for the media that gets stuck in the flashhole which comes out when I size and deprime.

Take them out with the tumbler running (assuming you aren't using an Auto-Flo), invert them and touch the necks to the threaded rod. Media will flow out like water.

Or use finer media. I deprime before I tumble and use the 20-40 sieve size corn cob. Media doesn't even get caught in the flash hole.

I do a 50/50 mix of Lyman corn Cobb and walnut media in my Dillon tumbler. I used to do all corn Cobb or all walnut. Cobb would get packed into my 223 and 6.5 Creedmoor casings. Walnut wouldn't. Did the mix and I get a more aggressive cleaning of the walnut with the pretty shine of corn cobb. And it doesn't get quite as stuck in there when I separate it.

The lizard bedding as mentioned above is the chit. Maybe 1 flash hole per 100 6BR cases will have a peice in it.
None stays clogged in the case.
