i am going to try that with the loop. What sling keeper arrangement are you using on your jacket? The only thing that will make that sling do that, assuming a well structured position, is having the arm loop rotated so far clockwise (right handed shooter viewed from above) that the buckle (this thing https://oberleenterprises.com/product/buckle-for-sling/ ) is bottomed at the end of its travel on the strap attached to the front of the arm loop.
i played with it some Tim.. this afternoon.. center of target was me shooting a shot or two and adjusting.. then shots to the left on the number was after the last tweak i made.. i didn't do any adjustments for wind.. it was switching too fast..How does it work with the standard-issue sling keeper? I find that fixing the sling to the keeper makes it sensitive to rotational position; a self-centring sling like the MEC would have more leeway than a traditional design, but there are limits.
If, like me, you send the jacket off for repairs always mark the fixing point on the sling beforehand. I spent three weeks feeling something wasn't right before I twigged.

i will send you a PM.. thanksI was at the range today so I took a picture of what mine looks like while in position to give you a visual. I was in kneeling but prone looks the same.
The Connect does a good job of putting the sling in the same place and keeping it there so as long as you have it all adjusted so the buckle is more or less centered on the arm loop strap you should be good.
The only other thing that I can think of that may cause what you describe is having your sling elbow too far in or out or the sling really low but that would create an extremely low position I think.
The picture file is too large to post here so PM me an email or phone # to send it to if you want.
