MDT XRS Chassis - Rear Bag Rider

Is a rear bag rider of any use when shooting prone with a stock or chassis that has a portion of the buttstock already horizontal to the forearm? I'm thinking if I made or bought a rear bag rider that could make the portion of the buttstock that will sit on a bag wider, it might help with stability. Maybe a bag rider isn't needed in this case - I don't know. This is my first "build" and I'm learning as I go. The chassis I'm using is an MDT XRS, and it will be used on a 6.5 Creedmoor. I've already removed the sling swivel studs, and it seems to sit pretty well in a cheap Allen sandbag with small ears. The forearm will be supported only by a bipod.

If that part of the butt is parallel, then the only issue is that of height. As that stock does not have a butt pad that adjusts, then sorting the rear bag height may help. I suggest investing in a good rear bag - SEB or others. But for now, you may find that a 1 inch or so piece of wood under the rear bag works too, in order to bring the rifle into a good position. You will find your comfort zone when the rifle feels right and the bipod no longer hops about.
