MDT chassis

I have the non-folding ESS set up with a carbon fiber hand guard. I am waiting for the 6SLR action and barrel to come back from the smith. I really like the looks and design of the MDT units.....Just hope it shoots good....:)

I have 3 of the MDT's one on a 40X rimfire, one on a CZ-455 and one on a La 700 in 6.5X284 All with PRS butt stocks. all three shoot very well for me.
I use the Lss-Xl when I can. thinking about buying another one for a short 700.

I am putting together a 700 260AI using a gen 1 LSS XL. The barrel is a 28” Criterion straight taper and fits into the chassis very well. At some point i will bed the recoil lug as i feel it is a little sloppy and the action wants to seat on the action screws. I bought the MDT straight grip and also their bag rider, both are well made and fit the chassis nicely.
This being my first chassis it will take a little getting used to. Im trying to decide on a scope, at the moment i mounted a weaver 36x for load development. I will definitely need high or maybe even extra high rings to get over the comb height E

I bought a Savage 10BA Stealth left hand last year which uses a chassis made by MDT. I replaced the stock that came with it with one from XLR industries and have already replaced the barrel with a 30" Criterion bull profile in 6.5 Creedmoor. I have also rotated in several grips and for now have landed on a grip from Larue Tactical that I Like. I bedded the action to he chassis and have been very pleased with its fit, balance, and performance. We have an informal steel shooting match where we shoot at a 12" steel plate at 1035 yards, shooting 5 shot relays and then allowing the barrel to cool while the next shooter takes a turn. I was able to go 20 for 20 on a favorable wind afternoon this past fall and that is the current range record so I am very pleased with the performance of the MDT chasssis and this barrel and action combo.

Is that a Remage barrel on the top rifle? And if so did you modify the chassis to fit it?
Both of them are barrel nut guns. The top is a Mossberg MVP Varmint, bottom is a Savage 10FPSR.

Here's the one that might burn someone's biscuits though... A Winchester Model 70 push feed modified to a barrel nut setup. LSS chassis will fit a surprisingly wide barrel nut. I didn't have to modify anything, nobody should. Barrel nuts are usually right around action diameter. At least all of them I've played with.

Probably MDT. Wait for one of their sales. Get on the mailing list to get notice of new products and sales. They don't spam me a lot so I stay on the list.

I have a Criterion Remage on mine and had plenty of room for the barrel nut. I have been very happy with my MDT chassis. They are a great company to deal with as well.

Thank you both for the insight. I have a Remington 700 22-250 that needs some TLC and be reinvented.. Have been looking at chassis set ups and questioning the Remage nut.
