MCS Action

I may have a line on an MCS (Mo deFina(sp?))actioned rifle.
It sits in a McMillan prone stock and is chambered in 6.5x284.
The first thing I would do is rebarrel in 308.
I'm sick and tired of the Salvage and its sucky trigger.
How good are these actions?
They are a 700 clone?
Said to be a three lugged bolt? Being three lugged how's the bolt lift?
Fair price for the rifle sans sights?

I do know a few folks that own/owned them, and am surprised at least one didn't offer opinions. One person I know that recently retired form the sport sold his. Mo no longer shoots his, but I am sure if you called him, he would offer his opinion on it. Beyond that, I do like the set-up that I have, and knowing what I know now, I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Out of curiosity, is a .308 and 6.5x284 the same bolt face? I am only familiar with the .308

Yes, 308 and 6.5x284 are the same bolt face.
According to Nez this rifle was purchased from Dan Simpson.
