McMillian stock weight.

I currently own a Ruger Hawkeye Predator in 223. This is a great and accurate rifle as is....only problem is that its a bit heavy to be roaming around the hills with all day, not too heavy, just a bit. It comes in a factory laminate stock. My question is will I loose much weight by going to a McMillian Sporter Ruger stock. I like the swirl red and black and it seems to me that it should weigh less than he laminate. Its not a full bull barrell. Its more of a magnum contour. My other option was to just sell and buy a Ruger Compact stainless laminate in 223 which weighs in only at 6.5 but has a short 16.5 inch tube on it.

Re: McMillian stock weight.

Call or email McMillan as their stocks can be made with a number if different "fills" inside the gelcoat depending on what weight the customer desires.

Some are REALLY light.
