I'm working on a .284 Win for long gange hunting,long range for me is 300yards). It's being built on a Surgeon SA repeater with a Badger M5 bottom metal, Jewell HVR trigger and Kreiger 1 in 9.5 twist #5 contour.
I just ordered a McMillan A3 stock. I am firmly decided on the colours, just not sure as to the percentages of each. The colour combo I want is:
-olive
-black
-light tan
I would like it to look exactly like this one.
I e-mailed McMillan and they wern't exactly sure what the percentages of this stock were. The ball park was somewhere between 34%-33%-33%, to 50%olive-25%black-25%light tan. I think the stock below is the same percentages as the one above. I really like the mix, the colours are a bit different though.
Does anybody have any experience or ideas. Pictures would be great!!!
