McMillan Baker Special Stock?

I'm thinking of putting together a prone/XTC rifle on a Winchester model 70 action and a Krieger standard palma barrel. Has anyone used a McMillan "Baker Special" stock? If so, what configuration? Adjustable buttplate, cheekpiece, etc.? I'm trying to decide between the Baker Special and the standard Winchester Marksman.

My best recommendation is to make a match or to a shop where there would be a selection of different stocks to try to get the feel of. One persons meat can be anothers poison.

That said, I've shot a friends rifle with a Baker stock. Nice stock, didn't suite my personal preference.

I have three A-5s with adjustable cheek pieces, 3-way butt plates and accesory rails (a nice touch since each rifle has a preferred bipod location in terms of controlling recoil. Also means they can be adjusted for fit to go from the bench to prone or whatever.

No matter which stock you pick, I will recommend the adjustability.
