McMaster Carr customer service is great

I placed a will call order for 650 degree tempilaq. When I got home and opened box the cap was broken. Sent email to McMaster and an hour later received this email.

Hi Jay,


I apologize the cap on this temperature-indicating liquid (3261K949) was broken. We will go ahead and credit you for this item and ship a replacement to your House tomorrow morning

I just told a friend about McMaster Carr yesterday. They are a great place to get hard to find hardware items that can’t be easily sourced locally.

They aren't the cheapest. But they almost always have what is in their catalog. And they always ship super fast. And like said above, they have many obscure parts and things you'll never find locally. They are amazing. I've been ordering from them for about ten years now. Only once or twice did they not have what I ordered in stock. Since they are on Ohio and I'm in central PA, orders always show up the following day.

I live 40 minutes from McMaster and they have been a customer of mine for 20 years. Few years ago they added on 50,000 sq ft addition.

How are their shipping charges? Their pricing on the Tempilaq is excellent, but I don't see a way to see their shipping charges, unless you give them a credit card number? Am I missing something?

Their shipping charges are very good. I live in Michigan and it is usually about $7. They are a great place to buy unusual items for projects we seem to build.
Oh one tip, down load the mobile app. It makes the website soooo much easier to navigate.
