McM MBR for FTR

Greetings,
Curious if anyone is using the Tooley MBR McMillan style stock for FTR? Long time high power/ prone shooter. Trying the FTR game and have / am using a McM MBR / Panda. Tips??
Thank you
John

The obvious is that you need a stock that has a rail to attach the bi-pod to. I am not sure if the rules specify a forend width. I was under the impression that the Tooley MBR was a primarily designed as a benchrest stock. It would be great for f-class with its 3 inch wide forend.

If I were to give F-TR a whirl, I would consider a McMillan XIT. I perceive it as being a stock that would work for both "sling" and f-tr.

I'm using a Phoenix bipod on it. I mounted a rail to the forend. I've been interested in LR BR, and this stock will work perfectly. I was using my prone guns initially, but they did not track well.
Thank you
John

I’d say it would work fairly well, only one way to find out..
I’m using a McMillan FClass for 500m Benchrest that works well for me..

It will work fine. You may spend some time getting elevation perfect with the Phoenix. Using an Aluminum arrow to reach the wheel while maintaining position is a good trick. My Kelbly KTS is almost flat and I use a Phoenix.

Using an angled front pad might be a trick if you have a perfectly level firing line.

The Joypod or Flex pod work well with a flat stock as well.
