2015 Ground Hog Match Dates
On the 1st Saturday of the Month May till October:
5/2, 6/6, 7/4, 8/1, 9/5 and 10/3
Registration from 7:30 AM till 9:00 AM, first Relay by 9:00 AM
Ground Hog Match Rules
Entry Fee
$12.00 per gun. Prizes will be awarded with $5.00 of the entry fee. Payback 1st place 60% (1-3 shooters) and 2nd place 40% (1-7 shooters). Stickers awarded down to 3rd place (over 7 shooters).
Classes
Factory Class - All factory guns must have factory barrel and stock. After market triggers, front rest and rear bag are allowed. No PPC or BR in this class.
Custom – Any firearm under 19.5 lbs., .40 caliber limit
Course of Fire
1st - 6 minutes of fire. 5 shots for record at 200 yards.
2nd - 6 minutes of fire. 5 shots for record at 300 yards.
3rd - 6 minutes of fire. 5 shots for record at 100 yards. – Five separate targets for Custom;
This yardage scored 10/8/5
Unlimited sighters allowed within the time limit.
General Rules
Eye and ear protection are required on the firing line.
No one piece rests
Spotting scopes allowed on line
Coaching and spotting is encouraged
When relay is completed, shooters are requested to remove their equipment and exit the firing line
Bolts must be removed at all times until given the instruction to install bolts by the Range Officer.
Ties to be broken by best target at 300 yards, closest to the center, round for round
Guests must sign waivers each calendar year.
